The World Tree.
Earlier this week, I had a particularly strange day. The number sequences (1111, 333 and 444) were popping off left, right and center, and there were strange symbols and moments of serendipity that got my attention. Then, when driving home, we noticed a unique 4x4 van set up like a safari tour bus- complete with images of prairie grass along the sides. But the best part about the van? It had a name, stamped right on the back of it. Its name was "Yggdrasil", the mythical worl

What is abundance energy?
What is abundance energy? Everybody loves talking about abundance, don't they? You can't swing a dead cat on Instagram or Facebook without hitting a post about achieving abundance from a self-styled life coach or energy worker, probably struggling themselves to make ends meet in these challenging times. I regularly overhear good-intentioned friends at coffee shops offering up cliches like "just put it out the universe" as though that will guarantee its manifestation.

I will not cancel you.
I will not cancel you. In the last few weeks, several clients and collaborators have thanked me for not "canceling" them when expressing perfectly benign personal opinions. Some have apologized to me for innocuous comments regarding current events, trending news items, or just harmless (and funny) jokes. When I look at twitter or the news, I can't help but notice the open letters addressing the suffocating blanket of cancel culture, with high-profile journalists quitting thei

LOVE.
It's a big small word, isn't it? The word "love" is overused and misused and, well, thrown around casually all the time. If love were a brand, it would be significantly eroded due to oversaturation in the proverbial marketplace. Every other instagram platitude talks about self-love, manifesting love, or just LOVING the hell out of something...even if that something is just a silk sleep eye mask that doesn't leave lines when you wake up in the morning. Because that's important

Trauma: our oldest "friend"
I am overwhelmed by the feedback I received in response to the most recent TOTEM blog post: “I don’t believe in coincidence”. Thank you for replying, reaching out, and sharing your own experiences. At the risk of sounding like a sap, your input and support mean the world to me, and I cherish the communication with all of you. I’ve been inspired by your bravery and transparency and decided to address a topic many of you have requested: trauma. *Requisite preliminary disclaimer

I don't believe in coincidence.
There are some moments in time that blow my mind. This past week was one of them. And it’s why, yet again, I am reminded that there is no such thing as coincidence. You may have been feeling and experiencing it- an explosion of uncanny parallels, confluence, and serendipity that leaves you feeling like you might be losing it, perhaps imagining the connections or creating patterns where there surely must be only chaos. It must be a coincidence, right? Wrong. There is an order
