We are an ecosystem.
This week has been intense. The retrograde is churning up a lot of old, hard stuff for us to process, but a theme has emerged: that self-care isn't just good for us, it's good for everyone else, too. If we walk around with an open wound, carrying with us the pain of childhood trauma and a lifetime of ego and sadness, we're not just hurting ourselves. We're hurting the people that love us, that want to see us well and whole, and who would benefit from the joy of having us in their lives. We are an ecosystem, and not just with each other- we're connected to spirit, to the world around us, and we can all make a difference (even if it doesn't always feel that way).
In a sense, it's an obligation for us to heal what we can and share what we know. To be brave enough to feel the pain of love, life, and spiritual growth. To continue to step forward, not denying the past, but rather celebrating it for the lessons and gifts it gave us. To help others and stay connected, even when some of us (I'm talking to you, empaths) want to pack it all up and disconnect from the world completely. Yes, it hurts to be in the world, but no one ever said this was going to be easy.
Our Saturday, March 31st Soul Part Recollection: Shamanic Journeying guided group meditation workshop could not come at a better time. This is going to be a big, healing moment for those who attend. Join us to recollect, reconfigure, and emerge refreshed and whole. Shamanism views the spirit/ body connection as vital and complex, and soul part work- like this group meditation- is designed to heal and strengthen this connection and heal dormant or damaged bits and pieces of ourselves so that we can be better for ourselves and for others. We'll also be leveraging a lot of totem animal energy in this session, which is always an exciting and informative topic to explore.
This workshop is for all levels and you don't have to have any meditation, shamanic, or spiritual experience to join us or enjoy the benefits of this modality. One Key Yoga provides everything to ensure your comfort during this restorative session: yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, sand bags, eye pillows and other materials. I spend the first 15-20 minutes explaining the technique and setting us up for success, and we spend the last half hour discussing experiences and covering aftercare to dos: clearing, grounding and self-care so that you can maximize what you learned on your own as you move forward.
If you're interested in learning more about totem animals, soul part work or shamanism in general, email me anytime at: firstname.lastname@example.org
