What dreams may come.

What dreams may come.

"Dreams shed light on the dim places where reason itself has yet to voyage." - Jordan Petersen

Anyone else having incredible dreams this week? Powerful, intensely visual meditations? Strange, spontaneous feelings of dreamy, high-def euphoria? Yah, it's not just you. It's definitely going around, and I think there might be a reason for it. Today, the Leonid Meteor Shower falls just ahead of the Taurus Full Moon/ Eclipse, and it's bringing a really incredible, positive energy to all of us on this little blue planet. In this article on Well and Good, they point out that this confluence of celestial events is a "double whammy of fated energy around 'a-ha' changes, or what astrologer Rachel Lang calls 'bursts of insight'". So what does all of this "woo" mean for us humans? How can we take advantage of this energy to accelerate our growth and achieve our goals? A few suggestions: 1. Make a wish upon a star. The Leonid Meteor shower is literally a bunch of shooting stars, so go ahead and make a wish! You can say this wish out loud, write it on a piece of paper, or undertake your own, personal ritual around wish-making. Ametrine is a great crystal for manifesting specific, singular wishes in the material plane. Think about that book you've always wanted to write, the retreat you've always wanted to host, or simply the garden you've always wanted to have in the backyard, and use the energy of Ametrine to ask the universe to "make it be". If you have an altar or a vision board area in your home, consider using our TOTEM Tarot Deck Titania Card as an anchoring visual. The Titania Card embodies the energy of stars, wishes, and GOOD NEWS after a long struggle or hardship, and can support you in your wishful endeavors. 2. Visualize your tribe. With tomorrow's Full Moon Eclipse in the sign of Taurus, it will be particularly powerful for anyone hoping to find their soul family and connect with their tribe. Who are the people you want to team with in the next year? What do all of these people have in common? Is there a trait or behavior that you find particularly inspiring or comforting? How would this community function- in person or online? What do you bring to this community? What do you get out of it? Really dig into the team you want to be a part of, and go with your gut: this week is all about the intelligence of feelings and our intuitive abilities. And, if you feel up to it, reach out and send them a note- if only to wish them a Happy Full Moon! Seeds you plant on eclipses can grow into incredible realities, so don't be shy. 3. Go on a journey. With the dreamy quality of this week, it's an ideal time to take a break from linear, rational stuff and head into a Shamanic Journeying Meditation. Go on iTunes or Spotify and check out the Shamanic Drumming music available, downloading a track or two that resonate with you, and then use the music to support your own Shamanic Journeying Meditation. Ask to meet Spirit Guides. Explore and see Totem Animals or Ancestors come in and what, if any, advice they may have for you. A Shamanic Journey mimics the Theta Wave brain state that occurs during lucid dreaming, giving you incredible access to your subconscious mind and an opportunity to actively create your reality. Email me if you have questions, as I've got a bunch of Shamanic Journeying "stuff" on hand for anyone interested. 4. Keep a dream journal. It's not just you- everyone is having big dreams this week! And, based on feedback from clients and my own reflection, it does seem like these dreams are enabling us to take back piece of ourselves and do some deep, shamanic healing stuff in our sleep. While dreams may seem nonsensical, they are often very relevant. The best way to get value out of your dreams- or meditation experiences, for that matter- is to regularly journal them. Not only does this give you a record to go back and reference, but the act of writing (with a pen and paper, not a computer keyboard) enables memory retention, a little trick that can, over time, help you remember all of your dreams. Trust me- your dreams are valuable little nuggets of insight- keep an archive! This week, I realized all of my dreams involve me recollecting Lost Soul Parts, or pieces of myself that are stuck on the astral or had gone dormant as a result of trauma. And with each dream, I feel a bit more like myself;) 5. Embrace symbolic language. As Carl Jung pointed out, our subconscious minds do not communicate in words or numbers. Rather, our subconscious mind- and our energy body- responds to symbolic language, like that found in our TOTEM Tarot Deck or in Yoga studio mandalas or sacred geometry. So, be playful and get creative! Do you have an area of your home where you can place little animal statues and plants, creating an energetic "garden" for your Totem Animals? Is there a symbol- like a unicorn or a lightening bolt- that represents an attribute you're working to bring into your life? Are you drawn to something for no apparent reason, but find that it uplifts you to look at it? Find it, get it, and look at it. Make it dreamy and evocative. Symbols are powerful, and can shift our thought patterns and self-image. On a more magical note, symbols help our minds and energy bodies focus their magic on manifesting, so don't hold back. 6. Rest. Anyone else feeling like they can just sleep forever this week? That no matter how much REM you get it's not enough? Yep- that happens when our energy bodies are doing big, healing work. So don't worry that something's wrong with you and try to do the unthinkable: actually listen to your body and let yourself take a nap or sleep in. Our world is an echo chamber of anxiety, adrenal fatigue and fight or flight responses, and our systems are more exhausted than we may realize. Consider resting an investment in yourself and your business this week- if you can enter a deep state of relaxation regularly, you can re-set your nervous system, recollect lost soul parts, and fill your tanks back up to have the next BIG IDEA that can leapfrog you into even bigger success. At a certain point, exhaustion is the law of diminishing returns, so consider your rest a critical business process to ensure your ongoing success. Please keep me posted on your Full Moon experiences this week- I have a feeling it's going to be a doozy. And, while I'm trying to rest and visualize and have some fun, I've also been working towards a really exciting new service: TOTEM Spiritual Transformation Coaching. I'm putting the finishing touches to this offering and will be sharing more details soon, so keep an eye out for emails and our website update in the coming month.
